Privacy policy

Elektromagnetic Corp is a private-sector organization in Ontario. We handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law.

What we collect

• Identity: name, email, phone.
• Delivery: street address, city, postal code, access notes.
• Booking: preferred delivery day, selected product, messages you send.
• Payment metadata: amount, deposit flag, Stripe customer or session IDs. We do not receive your full card number.
• Technical: server logs, cookie for staff login.

Why we collect it

We use this information to run orders, dispatch parcel delivery, verify returns when they are due, refund deposits, answer questions, meet tax and record-keeping duties, and improve the site. We do not sell personal information.

Consent

Checkout and the contact form are the points of consent. You may withdraw consent for marketing emails. We still keep booking records needed to complete an order or meet legal duties.

Sharing

• Payment processors (Stripe or a successor provider).
• Parcel carriers for the delivery address and contact phone.
• Hosting and database vendors (for example Vercel and Supabase).
• Professional advisors or authorities when required by law.

Retention

Booking and payment records are kept for at least seven years for tax. Contact messages are kept up to two years unless a longer period is required. Staff session cookies expire after seven days.

Safeguards

Access to the admin area is password protected. Production sites should use HTTPS, restricted API keys, and a service-role database key that never ships to the browser.

Access and correction

Email info@elektromagnetic.ca or jen@elektromagnetic.ca to request access, correction, or a complaint. We respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies

Essential cookies run staff sessions. We do not run advertising pixels in v1. Embedded YouTube tutorials on How it works may set cookies from Google if you play a video.

Children

We do not sell to anyone under 18 or knowingly collect their data.

We will post updates on this page with a new date. Material changes to how we handle data will be highlighted at checkout.
